Capacitor discharge welders
With this welding system, the energy, accumulated in a capacitor bank, is discharged through a dot on the stud in a very short time equal to 1-3 ms (0.001 - 0.003 sec.). It is not necessary to weld with gas shield or ceramic ferrules.
Applications
This welding system is applied on clean and thin sheets with a minimum thickness of 0.5mm, the penetration of the weld is only 0.1mm. After welding, no signs of thermal or mechanical deformation remain on the visible surface of the welded object. Welding is therefore particularly suitable where it is necessary to preserve the aesthetic appearance of the welded part.
Short arc welders raised
With this welding system, the energy is supplied through a current rectifier and it is possible to vary the intensity and the time. Welding lasts from 0.1 to 1 sec. depending on the diameter. This welding method is applied on sheets of at least 2 mm thick, as the penetration of the weld is 1 - 3 mm. Welding takes place with gas protection (up to 8 - 10 mm), or with ceramic ferrule, depending on the desired welding quality. Arc welding guarantees high quality joints with high safety guarantees.
Applications
It is successfully used in sectors such as metal, civil and industrial construction, heavy structural work, insulated refractory, shipbuilding, nuclear power plants, mechanical construction, etc.
